Support

Answers to common questions, and what to do when something stops working.

Most support calls start with the same three questions: what is wrong, is it worth fixing, and how much will it cost. The answers below cover the ones we are asked most often — and if your fault is not here, just call us.

Check the outdoor unit has power and that the fan is spinning. Then check the indoor unit is set to cool, the mode is not on fan or dry, and the set point is below room temperature. If the outdoor fan is not running, leave it switched off and call us rather than resetting it repeatedly, because a unit that is not starting often needs a capacitor or a supply fault rather than a reset.

Usually it means the condensate drain is blocked, the pipe has fallen out of gradient, or the tray is overflowing because the filter is heavily loaded. It is worth having it seen, because water running into a wall or ceiling becomes a building problem very quickly. Switch the unit to fan mode rather than cooling until we have looked at it.

A well-sized, well-maintained residential split commonly gives eight to twelve years of good service. Commercial systems run harder, so maintenance history matters far more than age: a heavily used commercial system that has been serviced regularly will outlast a neglected one of half the age.

For a system running eight hours or more a day, quarterly servicing of the condensing coils and a periodic refrigerant and electrical check is sensible. Coastal air and dust load the coils quickly, and a dirty coil raises power draw and compressor pressure every month it is left.

Sometimes. If the compressor and both fan motors are sound and the cabinet is not corroded, a repair plus a thorough service can extend a working unit considerably. If the compressor has failed on an old fixed-speed unit, replacing it is usually cheaper than the repair plus the higher running cost. We will tell you which case yours is.

Yes, for the brands we work with, provided parts are available and the unit is within a sensible serviceable life. Tell us the make, model and capacity when you call so we can check part availability before we attend.

Scheduled preventive visits, coil and filter cleaning, refrigerant level checks, electrical connection and earth bonding checks, a written service report each visit, and breakdown attendance within the response window stated in the contract. Parts and refrigerant are chargeable unless the contract includes them.

For contract customers, within the response window committed in writing. For general enquiries we aim to attend the same working day inside the Kochi area where a technician and any required part are available. If we cannot attend the same day, we will tell you honestly rather than leave you guessing.

Yes. Every maintenance visit includes a written report covering what was checked, what was found and what work was carried out, which is what most building compliance and audit processes expect.

What happens when you call

How a support call goes

Three steps, and you know the cost before anything is done.

  1. 1

    Call or send a message

Tell us the make, model and the symptom. A photo of the nameplate on the outdoor unit saves a wasted trip.

  2. 2

    We diagnose and quote

Once we can see the fault we give you a straight answer: repair with a cost, or replace, with a cost. No pressure either way.

  3. 3

    Work carried out and reported

On approval we do the work, hand back the unit running, and give you a written record of what was done.

Something not working?

Call us with the make and model and we will tell you straight whether it is worth repairing.
